Hi! I am Grégoire, a 5th year Game Design student at Rubika France, specializing in Narrative Design.
As a Narrative Designer, my mission is to define and tailor systems, ideas and methods to create the most impactful stories in an interactive context, and to communicate these choices with the rest of the team. I'm also keen on writing dialogues, story and characters, both in English and French.
While narration is my main focus, I'm above all a passionate game designer, fluent in the language of mechanics and rulesets. I've worked on several projects as a team manager, a technical designer and a level designer.
My versatile skillset allows me to be autonomous and proactive, able to quickly absorb new workflows and tools and to indulge in prototyping. It also allows me to envision all the moving pieces of a game's design.
Being a fairly sociable and agreeable individual, I believe I am capable of fitting in with any team. I value clear design documentation and communication and I love involving everyone in the design process.
I have studied Game Design and Management at Rubika Supinfogame, and have worked as a Game and Narrative Designer intern at Play Curious and Ludogram.
Hobbies
Alternative Music
Music is a very important part of me. Whether I'm alone or with friends, working or relaxing, I always put on some tunes to fit the current mood. Video games with great soundtracks always stick out for me.
I am especially obsessed with Indie and Alternative Rock from the 90s to modern day, with bands such as Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, Queens of the Stone Age, Pixies and MGMT being some of my favorites. I also enjoy my fair share of electronic music and hip-hop.
I play the electric and acoustic Guitar and Bass and pass my time learning songs, improvising over records and creating melodies.
Video Games
Some of my favorite games include Outer Wilds, Disco Elysium, The Witcher 3, The Witness and the Half Life series.
I am fond of games that let the player explore a world at their own pace, games with a strong narrative component and games that bring something new to the table. This is why I also enjoy playing a lot of indie games, which I don't always finish but appreciate nonetheless.
